Mike McQueary, the important witness in the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal, will not be at Saturday's game against Nebraska and Joe Paterno was being relieved of his duties as football coach. Due to multiple threats made against assistant coach Mike McQueary, the university issued a release that it would be in the best interest for assistant coach McQueary not to be in attendance at Saturday's Nebraska game.
Mike McQueary, the man who witnessed Jerry Sandusky allegedly rape a young boy in the Penn State locker room in 2002 will not be allowed to continue as a receivers coach when the team plays Nebraska on Saturday. In fact, Penn State has announced that McQueary will not be at Saturday’s game, explaining that the school has received “multiple threats” against the coach. When the incident happened, Mike McQueary was a 28-year-old graduate assistant; he left immediately, distraught and then called his father, who advised him to tell Coach Joe Paterno who then spoke with athletics director Tim Curley what he’d seen but never called police. It is possible that Mike McQueary played for, worked for, and no doubt idolized Joe Paterno and perhaps Jerry Sandusky, too. When McQueary allegedly saw Jerry Sandusky raping a boy but he shouldn’t have just called the police. He should have rescued the boy; however, I can understand why someone in his position, with his background, would have run out of the room immediately and called his father.

Jerry Sandusky, 67, a retired American football coach served as an assistant coach for his entire career, mostly at Pennsylvania State University under Joe Paterno, and was one of the most notable major college football coaches. At the beginning of November 2011, Jerry Sandusky was arrested and charged with 40 counts of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15-year period. I wonder how horrified and shocked his wife, Dottie Sandusky as the rest of the world, as most any wife would be. He and his wife have six adopted children. One son, Jon Sandusky is director of player personnel for the NFL's Cleveland Browns and another son, E.J. Sandusky, serves as an assistant football coach at West Chester University.
