Article marketing is an advertising tactic used by some of the top internet marketers in the business. It is a tool that if used correctly can drive highly qualified, highly targeted leads to your business.
There is no better medium in my opinion to bring leads to your website that are highly targeted. When a reader clicks through to your website they are actually pre-sold on the idea of purchasing something or subscribing to get your free product. You are offering a free product, right? If not you should be. It will make it much easier to convert visitors into subscribers.
Article writing in itself is not terribly difficult. It is a learned skill just like any other craft. Take the time to learn and you will reap the rewards.
A.) Create an attention grabbing headline.
Do a Google search for “power words and phrases.” Visit the top 10 results and then cut and paste any words or phrases to a text document that you can use later. Use this document when writing headlines.
B.) Fill the article with information that will educate your reader
Provide your readers with valuable information about the subject you mentioned in your headline. Perhaps they will learn something that they did not already know.
C.) Use a few bullet points to make your article easily understandable
Using bullet points and sub-headlines breaks up your article in to easily digested chunks. Big bulky paragraphs can lead to a reader simply finding something easier to read.
D.) Create a compelling author’s resource box and you have an article.
An author’s resource box is a tool to be used to get readers to visit your website, and should include your name, a few sentences about yourself or product, a call to action, and a link to your website.
If you can master the art of article writing you will find that it is one of the most powerful ways to direct highly targeted traffic to your website. Targeted traffic means that a visitor is more likely to subscribe to your list and we all know that more subscriptions means more sales.
